The government has today withdrawn the Default Retirement Age, sparking a range of comment and debate.
In a detailed interview on Radio 4's TodayProgramme, Employment Minister Ed Davey refuted claims that the removal of default retirement would lead to a lack of jobs for young people entering the job market, instead having the opposite effect.

Speaking to Recruiter Magazine, Rachel Krys - Campaign Director of the Employer's Forum on Age (EFA) welcomed the move, encouraging employers to consider more flexibly the benefits of older people entering (or remaining in) the workforce.
