The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) today published its view on the employment outlook for 2011, demonstrating a mixed picture.
Expecting the effects on employment of public sector cuts to impact the more positive outlook in the private sector, the overall summary is one of tempered optimism.
Based on employer opinions - whether they are anticipating recruiting new staff and other indicators, this method of research is open to skewed response, but it serves as a good discussion point and a perspective from which to enter 2011.
